Introduction to Python for Data Science
Heads up! This course may be archived and/or unavailable.
Python is a very powerful programming language used for many different applications. Over time, the huge community around this open source language has created quite a few tools to efficiently work with Python. In recent years, a number of tools have been built specifically for data science. As a result, analyzing data with Python has never been easier.
In this practical course, you will start from the very beginning, with basic arithmetic and variables, and learn how to handle data structures, such as Python lists, Numpy arrays, and Pandas DataFrames. Along the way, you'll learn about Python functions and control flow. Plus, you'll look at the world of data visualizations with Python and create your own stunning visualizations based on real data.

Extremely relevant for rookies to programming with Python for Data Science like me.
It's value to someone like me is equal to simply saying: "Python is great for data science.
i love it thank you Microsoft , edx and datacamp for thisamazing experience Very nice course for data science with python.
Would recommend if anyone interested for data science with python.
Great course for beginners, it's a course of "Python for Data Science" and not Python, so doesn't go into programming language very much.
The course covers the basics of python required for Data Science and is staright to the point and concise.Extremely ideal for beginners of Data science.
Perfect introductory course for data science.
This was exactly the introductory course I wanted in order to gain specific python skills for data science skills.
I am looking forward to enroll in next level courses regarding Python for data science.
Very nice intro to python for data science for the beginners.
This course is really helpful for me.I would like to enroll in some more courses for data science.I enjoyed a lot.
I know the title of the course in introduction to Python for Data science, but I still feel there is a lot missing.
course is good for beginners ,who want to pursue their career in data science with python.solving lab exercises improve knowledge about basic programming with python for data science concepts such as data visualization, linear algebra, data processing Course content is good. Will be better if some more complicated stuff is also involved in quizzes.Course provided a brief introduction to start using these structures.
overall the experience was great :D This course is only designed for data science.

using python
Though I have been learning and using Python for over 6 months before the courses, the course enlightened me more on how to use Python in the field of data science.
Guides you through the first steps of Data Science using Python.
This is because datacamp through edx have changed my life, now i can code and decode with all types of R Data using python.
The Instructor explained the course very well with required amount of information to attend the quiz and the lab excersise Great course to begin with Data Science using Python.
So, for the new to programming or new to the python can learn the python easily this way this is very helpful for me as for the develepment for the machine learning using python as push the course was joined and now completed with better grades as whole process was very and rope tight this course helped a lot to learn and get the grasp of the concept and the visualization part is also good Very basics of python are covered without getting tedious.
I use Microsoft Excel all the time, and I have wanted to learn some basic ways to manipulate and sort huge amount of data using Python.
Of course, this is not enough to get a novice programmer started into data science using Python, yet a very helpful resource.
The course was great and well delivered.Despite the fact that I did not have programming knowledge I was taken through the step by step method of how to use Python programming An interesting introduction to using python for data science.

final exam
The final exam is a bit long though.
But you should prepare yourself before the final exam, it might be challenging!
I really enjoyed taking the final exam, it makes you learn every subject taken.
It could be better if there were more exams like the final exam during the course.
However , the platform for final exam assessment was slightly different from what we had worked on during the course.
Regular section assessments were good, but you really should provide a mechanism for feedback on the Final Exam to let students know where they lost points.
I had to take this course again, although I have completed it except for the final exam; You have one chance for final exam and it is timed.
I understand that they want to measure just, but they can divide the final exam in 2 sessions.
My biggest feedback was to divide the final exam in 3 sessions/time; so that people who are working parents like I am; can do it.
the last time, i initiated the final exam; but then I had to leave; and the exam duration expired and could not retake it etc etc people who are working and have families do take these courses, and we usually try to do it at night when kid is a sleep etc.
but sometimes things happen and we cannot finalize the opened session i was told to contact the datacamp team and i did, but it took them 2 days or so to reply it is good that you have added the lab17 as a practice, but please consider making the final exam in 3 parts/sessions etc.
Unfortunately, the Final exam and lab were pain points for me (emphasis on the final lab).

too easy
As a professional programmer who was not exposed to this topic, this course was way too easy, shallow and rudimentary.
Data Camp labs where a bit too easy.
Although I understand that this is a introductory course, i found the content to be too easy.
