本书是吴先生近年来关于经济体制改革、完善市场经济等重大问题的相关文集，全书共分五辑，分别为“让历史照亮未来的道路”、“中国经济面临的短期问题和长期问题”、“呼吁重启改革”、“如何重启改革”、“知识分子的责任、追求与情怀”，共收入文章50篇，内容系统明晰，深入探讨深化改革的各个议题，综述重启改革的历史意义及重大影响，同时为转型时代的改革步骤提供理论参考。这些文章不仅记录了作者对于一些重大问题的思考与建言，同时也从一个侧面反映了中国改革开放和经济发展的曲折历程。

This book is a collection of Mr. Wu’s essays which are written in recent years and related on economic reform and the improvement of market economy. It is divided into five parts, such as "let history illuminate future’s road", " short-term and long-term problems of China’s economic ","calls for reforms again", and "how to reform again", and "intellectuals’ responsibility, pursuit and feelings", totally including 50 articles. The content is clear, which deeply discusses the issues of deepening reforms, and integratedly discourses the major and historical significance of reforms. This book also provides references for reform steps in the era of transition. These articles not only record some thoughts and suggestions on major issues, but also indicate the winding course of China’s reform and opening up, and China’s economic development.
