Computer Education for Teachers

Designed to meet the needs of the computer novice, this book is written for undergraduate and graduate students who want an up-to-date, readable, practical, concise introduction to computers. It assumes no prior experience with computers. It offers classroom activities and projects, clear illustrations, a recommended annotated software listing, a summary of current computer research, and an extensive bibliography. The chapters are written so that the reader can pursue them in any order. The new edition features a completely revised chapter 14 on programming, including HTML, an expanded and updated multimedia chapter (10), more emphasis on Special Education software and hardware, over 150 new illustrations, and a new annotated list of software (Appendix A). A new chapter 12 on the World Wide Web, includes sites, a site evaluation instrument, Web page creation, Netiquette, and Web Utlitiies.
