Creative CBT Interventions for Children with Anxiety

Children who suffer from anxiety can be difficult to treat because they’re more hesitant to trust, have a tendency toward avoidance and negative thinking, and are typically reluctant to face their fears. The challenge of working with younger children is further compounded by their developmental capacity which makes it harder for them to express their thoughts and feelings and understand CBT concepts.

Anxious children are even more resistant to participate in therapy when it is talk-oriented and workbook-based. In Creative CBT Interventions for Children with Anxiety , award-winning author and international keynote speaker Liana Lowenstein outlines an innovative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to create a positive therapeutic experience for your clients and augment treatment effectiveness.
