In the last couple of decades the Boundary Element Method (BEM) has become a well-established technique that is widely used for solving various problems in electrical engineering and electromagnetics. Although there are many excellent research papers published in the relevant literature that describe various BEM applications in electrical engineering and electromagnetics, there has been a lack of suitable textbooks and monographs on the subject. This book presents BEM in a simple fashion in order to help the beginner to understand the very basic principles of the method. It initially derives BEM for the simplest potential problems and subsequently builds on these to formulate BEM for a wide range of applications in electromagnetics. The book aims to introduce both undergraduate and graduate students to the BEM fundamentals in a way that enables the reader to solve more complex problems on their own. In addition, it will serve as a useful text to enable professional engineers and research students to make full use of BEM in electrical engineering.
