上世纪八十年代关于《传习录》研究有两部重要著作，一部是陈荣杰的《传习录详注集评》，另一部就是邓艾民的《传习录注疏》。邓着在《传习录》个版本的把握以及在文字出典的注释方面虽然稍逊于陈着，但较大特色在于将《传习录》与《阳明全书》作了严密的对照比勘，同时将《传习录》上中下三卷打通，对其中互有思想关联的条目作了统一之观察和考辨，这就为从整体上把握阳明思想提供了极大的方便。
