A medium-sized modern Chinese dialect dictionary, it is based on The Modern Chinese Dialect Dictionary while using research achievement on words from other dialect dictionaries such as the Kunming Dialect Dictionary and the Northeast Dialect Dictionary,covering modern chinese dialects from around 60-70 places. It contains mainly the entries that different from the Mandarin in form, speech and meaning. It pay more attention not only to the entries common to most dialect, but also those only used in a certain dialect or dialect minority.
