La.) AMS Special Session on Interaction of Inverse Problems and Image Analysis (2001 : New Orleans and Jerry Zuhair Spinelli

This collection of 15 papers from the January 2001 special session reports on recent advances in the recovery of a function, signal, or picture from partial or indirect information about the object. The contributors discuss the regularization of liner and nonlinear ill-posed problems, fractal and wavelet sets, robust hybrid steepest descent methods, and Sinc-Galerkin methods for approximate solution of partial differential equations.
