In the summer of 2003, teachers from the greater Detroit area came together to share their knowledge, experience, and creative expression in Language Arts and instruction, with an emphasis on writing, as fellows of the Meadow Brook Writing Project. In the Company of Writers 2003 is the anthology resulting from that collaboration. All participants, from elementary through college, returned to their classrooms in the fall, inspired and ready to pass that inspiration on to their students.
