PDR Nurse's Drug Handbook

George R. Spratto and Adrienne L. Woods

A comprehensive drug information source, and a valuable reference for practicing nurses, 2002 PDR Nurse's Drug Handbook™ offers the most complete and up-to-date drug information. Therapeutic drug classes provide basic information that applies to each drug listed at the beginning of the class description. Nearly 1000 drug monographs are organized alphabetically by generic name. Each monograph contains information that is specific to the drug, with cross references to the drug class for general information. Available forms of the drug and recommended dosages for each form are also included in each monograph. The Nursing Considerations section in each monograph use the nursing process framework to organize nursing actions relating to drug therapy. A color insert provides more than 200 photographs of tablet and capsule forms of the most commonly prescribed drugs. Appendices offer useful and easy to access reference information.
