David Greenhood

1971, hardcover edition ( this title was first published in 1944 Down to Mapping for Everybody. In 1964, it was acquired by the University of Chicago Press and was extensively revised and expanded in content and brought up to date re. the materials covered), University of Chicago Press, Chicago, IL. 292 pages. Marvelous b&w illustrations by Ralph Graeter. Beautifully written, exquisitely illustrated title. Written for those who want to know basics about the subject. Originally intended for college and high school students, this title would appeal to anyone interested in the subject. Individual parts deal with getting the most out of maps, making your own maps, and useful figures which will allow you to understand details of these wonderful objects. Really well done by a fine writer.
