This full-color, illustrated edition of "The Holy Gospel According to Luke and The Acts of the Holy Apostles" offers the modern reader an opportunity to step back in time to the illuminated Byzantine manuscript tradition with a set of texts authored by the Evangelist Luke, and addressed to Theophilus. The source text is from the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. This publication was designed to conform to the paragraph and sectional breaks from the authorized 1904 Greek text of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. As a Reader's Edition, there is no chapter or verse numbering, although there are section titles taken from ancient Byzantine manuscripts, and indexed with page numbers for ease of navigation.
