The book "Operating System Concepts" is based on my experience on the development of a Real Time OS for use in the automation of Air Defence Systems, my training on VAX/VMS OS at DEC, USA and my study of the subject from various books by eminent authors. The book targets Under Graduate Engineering Students; sincere effort has been made to explain the OS Concepts like Process Synchronization, Inter-Process Communication, Deadlock Handling and various Memory Management Techniques in a very simple language.
