Positive Youth Justice offers a powerful new way of approaching youth justice Children First, Offenders Second (CFOS). Aiming to reorient the way that the justice system thinks about and handles young offenders, CFOS argues that the primary focus should be on the fact that these offenders are children, addressing the nature and consequences of their criminal actions in light of that fundamental fact. Already in use in Wales, CFOS is a promising blueprint for building a child-friendly and inclusive approach to criminal justice issues relating to youth.
