IT Governance Manager

Education and Experience

Most IT governance managers have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Some IT governance managers also have a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field. IT governance managers typically have several years of experience in IT management or consulting.

Skills and Knowledge

IT governance managers need to have a strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT and ISO/IEC 27002. They also need to have a deep understanding of IT risk management, IT security, and IT audit. IT governance managers need to be able to communicate effectively with senior management and IT staff, and they need to be able to develop and implement policies and procedures that are both effective and efficient.
