They must be able to operate drones safely and efficiently, and they must be familiar with the airspace regulations in their area. Drone delivery drivers typically work for companies that specialize in drone delivery services. They may also work for companies that use drones for other purposes, such as aerial photography or surveillance.

Drone delivery drivers have a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Loading and unloading drones

Qualifications

To become a drone delivery driver, you typically need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also be able to pass a background check and a drug test. In addition, you must be able to operate drones safely and efficiently. Some employers may require you to have a commercial drone pilot's license. Typically, you will need at least one (1) year of experience, and as with many roles, more experience is preferred by employers. Some of these roles will require a college degree, and while there is not a universal requirement, a college degree in a related area like Aviation or Engineering may be preferred or even required.
