Messaging Systems Analysts work as part of a development team to design, create, implement, and provide ongoing maintenance for messaging systems. These systems are designed to allow electronic messaging in a variety of formats, such as text messages, email, and other methods of instant messaging. Messaging Systems Analysts can work for a variety of businesses, including banks, hospitals, and government agencies, and they can be involved in projects ranging from simple email setup to complex, multi-tiered messaging systems.
Educational Requirements
Most Messaging Systems Analysts have at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Some employers may also require a master's degree in a related field. While pursuing a degree can help you to break into the field, there are many different paths that can lead to a career as a Messaging Systems Analyst.
