Electrical and Electronics Drafter
Electrical and Electronics Drafters create detailed technical drawings of electrical and electronic systems, components, and products. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create these drawings, which are used by engineers, architects, and other professionals to plan, design, and construct electrical and electronic systems. Electrical and Electronics Drafters may also work with other drafters to create detailed drawings of mechanical systems, such as those used in manufacturing and construction.
Education and Training
Electrical and Electronics Drafters typically need at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Many employers prefer candidates with an associate degree in electrical or electronics drafting. Some employers may also require drafters to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
