A Cultural Historian studies the history of human culture through the lens of art, music, and consumption. They analyze how these elements have shaped societies and how they reflect the values and beliefs of different eras. This role requires a strong understanding of historical research methods, as well as expertise in art, music, and cultural theory. With a deep understanding of the past, Cultural Historians can help us understand the present and make informed decisions about the future.
Education and Training
Most Cultural Historians hold a Master’s or Doctorate degree in History, Art History, or a related field. Coursework often includes:
