Legal Studies Instructor
Legal Studies Instructors are responsible for teaching, inspiring, and guiding students who are interested in pursuing a career in law or legal support services. Legal Studies Instructors possess expertise in the American legal system, case law, legal theory, legal research, and more. Legal Studies Instructors can help students develop their own legal opinions, legal frameworks, and legal arguments; learn to analyze and critically think about the law; and develop effective legal writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Some of the primary responsibilities of Legal Studies Instructors include:
- Develop lesson plans and prepare course materials.
- Deliver lectures and lead discussions on legal topics.
- Assign and grade homework assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Meet with students outside of class to provide academic and career guidance.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in the law.
Legal Studies Instructors may also be involved in research, scholarly writing, and other professional activities.
