Community Educator
Community Educators are the people in schools and other community settings that provide information to the community about relevant topics and are advocates for change. They teach, facilitate, empower, and mobilize people to enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.
What Community Educators Do
Community Educators work in a variety of settings such as schools, community centers, and health clinics to develop and implement educational programs that address the needs of the community. They may teach classes on topics such as health, nutrition, parenting, and financial literacy.
Community Educators also work with community groups to advocate for policies that benefit the community, provide technical assistance to community-based organizations, and conduct research to identify and address community needs.
