Aircraft Electrician
An aircraft electrician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of aircraft electrical systems. They work on a variety of aircraft, from small private planes to large commercial airliners. Aircraft electricians must have a strong understanding of electrical theory and be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities

Education and Training

Certifications
Aircraft electricians must be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). To obtain an FAA certification, aircraft electricians must pass a written exam and a practical exam. Aircraft electricians must also complete continuing education credits every three years to maintain their certification.
