Pathways to Becoming a Patent Lawyer
To become a Patent Lawyer, you must first complete undergraduate studies. During your undergraduate studies, there is no major specifically required to become a Patent Lawyer, but a STEM related degree is recommended. After completing an undergraduate degree, you must complete a law degree or a Juris Doctor (J.D.). Once you have your law degree, you will need to pass the bar exam. To practice as a Patent Lawyer, you will need to pass the Patent Bar exam.
