Optical Engineer Assistant
As an Optical Engineer, you will be working on the design and development of optical systems, which are used in a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare. Optical engineers use their knowledge of optics to design and develop lenses, mirrors, and other optical components that are used to manipulate light in order to achieve desired results. For example, optical engineers may design lenses for use in cameras, telescopes, and microscopes. They may also design optical systems for use in lasers, fiber optic cables, and other devices.
What does an Optical Engineer Assistant do?
As an Optical Engineer Assistant, you will be working under the supervision of an optical engineer to assist with the design and development of optical systems. You may be involved in a variety of tasks, such as:
- Conducting research on optical materials and components
- Designing and developing optical systems
- Testing and evaluating optical systems
- Writing technical reports and presentations
Optical Engineer Assistants typically have a bachelor's degree in optical engineering or a related field. They may also have experience working in a laboratory setting.
