Arctic Policy Analyst
An Arctic Policy Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and developing policies that relate to the Arctic region. This includes issues such as climate change, environmental protection, energy development, and international cooperation. Arctic Policy Analysts work for a variety of organizations, including governments, research institutions, and non-profit organizations. The polar regions are estimated to house 25% of the worlds untapped oil.
Education and Training
Most Arctic Policy Analysts have a master's degree in public policy, environmental science, or a related field. Some also have a background in law or economics. In addition to formal education, Arctic Policy Analysts also need to have a strong understanding of the Arctic region, including its history, geography, and politics.
