Aerospace Maintenance Manager
Aerospace Maintenance Managers oversee the maintenance and repair of aircraft and ensure that they meet safety and regulatory standards. They work closely with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to develop and implement maintenance plans, inspect aircraft, and troubleshoot problems. Aerospace Maintenance Managers may also be responsible for managing budgets, scheduling maintenance crews, and ensuring that aircraft are ready for operation. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, and maintenance procedures, as well as strong leadership and management skills.
Education and Training
Most Aerospace Maintenance Managers have a bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance management or a related field. Some may also have a background in engineering or aviation. Certification as an aircraft mechanic or inspector is also required. Aerospace Maintenance Managers must also complete continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest aviation regulations and maintenance procedures.
