Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Pilots operate and control unmanned aircraft, also known as drones. They are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these aircraft, which are used for a variety of purposes, including surveillance, mapping, and delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
UAV Pilots typically have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Operating and controlling unmanned aircraft
- Planning and executing flight missions
- Interpreting data collected from unmanned aircraft
- Maintaining and repairing unmanned aircraft
- Following all applicable safety regulations
- Coordinating with other members of the flight team
- Working with clients to ensure their needs are met
UAV Pilots may also be responsible for training other personnel on how to operate and control unmanned aircraft.
