Assistant Professor of Economics
As an Assistant Professor of Economics, you will instruct economics courses to undergraduate and graduate students at universities and colleges. You will be expected to develop course curriculum, deliver lectures, and conduct discussions. Preparing and grading tests and homework as well as providing guidance and support to students will be required of you. Researching economics issues and publishing your findings in academic journals is expected. You may also be expected to attend conferences and present your research findings. Assistant Professors of Economics are typically expected to have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
