City Forester
Urban populations are growing rapidly, and with more people moving into cities, the need for urban green spaces is increasing. City Foresters are responsible for planning and managing these green spaces, including trees, parks, and other natural areas.
What Does a City Forester Do?
City Foresters develop and implement plans to care for and maintain urban forests. This includes planting new trees, removing dead or diseased trees, and pruning and trimming trees to ensure their health and safety. City Foresters also work with other city departments and organizations to promote urban forestry and educate the public about the benefits of trees. In addition to their work in parks and other public spaces, City Foresters may also work with private landowners to provide advice on tree care and management.
