Science Illustrators are artists who create detailed, accurate illustrations of scientific subjects. They must be able to work independently and meet deadlines, and they must be able to communicate effectively with scientists and other professionals.
Education and Training
Most Science Illustrators have a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or physics, with a minor in art. Some Science Illustrators also have a master's degree in scientific illustration or a related field. In addition to formal education, Science Illustrators often take workshops and classes to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
