Stage Lighting Technician

Stage lighting technicians are responsible for the lighting of live events, such as concerts, plays, and corporate events. They work with directors, designers, and other members of the production team to create a lighting design that will enhance the overall performance. Stage lighting technicians must have a strong understanding of the principles of lighting design, as well as the technical skills necessary to operate and maintain lighting equipment.

Education and Training

Stage lighting technicians typically have a high school diploma or equivalent, and many also have some college education in technical theater or stage lighting. There are also a number of online courses and workshops available that can teach the basics of stage lighting.

Skills
