Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technicians are individuals who work with and maintain electrical and electronic systems. These systems include power plants, telecommunications, building wiring, and control systems. They may install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and motors. They may also work with electronic systems such as computers, telecommunications equipment, and control systems. Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technicians typically have an associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. They may also have certification from a professional organization such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
