作業療法士s are healthcare professionals who assist individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities to achieve their maximum level of independence. They work with patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, and in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and private practice.
Education and Training
Occupational therapists must have a master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program. The curriculum includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, psychology, and occupational therapy theory and practice. Students also complete clinical rotations in various settings.
Skills and Experience
Occupational therapists must have a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as the principles of occupational therapy. They must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
