Cosmetics Salespeople, or Consultants, promote, sell, and apply cosmetics and skincare products to customers. They also provide makeup demonstrations, product recommendations, and makeup lessons. Those interested in this role can find online courses to help them build the skills they need.

Cosmetics Salesperson Job Description

In most cases, Cosmetics Salespeople spend their entire work shift on their feet, assisting customers and attempting to sell different products. When a customer enters the business, they greet them and ask if they need help finding anything. If the customer is interested in a specific product, they will explain how it should be used and applied to the skin. Additionally, they can provide makeup lessons and demonstrate how to apply makeup.
