WAN Engineer
Wide Area Network (WAN) Engineers are those who design, build, and maintain the computer networks for companies, organizations, and other entities. A WAN is a large network that connects multiple local area networks (LANs) together, allowing them to communicate with each other across long distances. WANs can be used to connect devices within a single building, across multiple buildings, or even across different cities or countries.
How to Become a WAN Engineer
There are several ways to become a WAN Engineer. Many WAN Engineers have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Some WAN Engineers also have a master's degree. In addition to formal education, WAN Engineers typically have several years of experience working with computer networks.
