工程师 are environmental scientists who focus on real-world environmental issues. They utilize their knowledge of science and engineering, as well as their understanding of ecological principles, to design and implement solutions to environmental problems.

Education

The first step to becoming an environmental engineer is to earn a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering. Several universities offer an online bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, but if one cannot attend classes on campus, online associate's degree programs are also available as a starting point.

Environmental engineers must also have a strong foundation in math and science. They must be able to understand and apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and geology to environmental problems. They must also be able to use computer models and software to analyze data and design solutions.

Skills

Environmental engineers need a strong foundation in science and engineering, as well as a deep understanding of environmental principles. They must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will often need to work with a variety of stakeholders, including government officials, businesses, and community groups.
