They study the geology, composition, atmosphere, and other characteristics of these objects to better understand their formation and evolution. Planétologue™s also investigate the potential for life on other planets and moons.
Becoming a Planétologue
A strong foundation in science and mathematics is essential for a career as a Planétologue. Most Planétologue™s have a bachelor's degree in geology, astronomy, physics, or a related field. Many also have a master's degree or doctorate in Planétologie or a related field. In addition to formal education, Planétologue™s typically have experience conducting research in the field or in a laboratory.
