Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) engineers design and develop products using computer software. They use their knowledge of engineering principles and CAD/CAM software to create virtual models of products and then use those models to generate instructions for manufacturing the products.

CAD/CAM engineers typically work in a team environment, collaborating with other engineers, designers, and manufacturing professionals. They may also work with customers to understand their needs and ensure that the products they design meet those needs.
