Infrastructure Security Engineers protect and maintain the security of an organization's networks, servers, and data from internal and external threats. They work with IT teams to implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists, and develop and maintain security policies and procedures as well as keep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends.

Job Description

Infrastructure security engineers typically have a strong understanding of network security, operating systems, and security protocols. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The primary responsibilities may include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity
  • Investigate security incidents and take appropriate action
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends
