Producer (film and video)
Save
A film and video producer is responsible for every aspect of keeping a film or video production running smoothly. Producers wear many hats, and have to be flexible and ready to take on whatever responsibilities are required, often acting as a liaison between the creative and business sides of projects.
What Producers Do
Film and video producers are responsible for overseeing every aspect of a film or video production, from development and pre-production, through production and post-production, to distribution and marketing. Depending on the size and scope of a project, a producer may work independently or as part of a team. In smaller projects, they could be responsible for every aspect of production, and in more extensive productions, they often work with professionals who specialize in various aspects of production.
