Drone Mapping Technician
A Drone Mapping Technician maps land and structures using drones and specialized software. Using a variety of imaging and data collection techniques, Drone Mapping Technicians create 2D maps, 3D models, and other data sets such as orthomosaics, point clouds, and digital surface models (DSMs). Drone Mapping Technicians set up and operate drones, sensors, and associated software to collect, analyze, and interpret data for a variety of purposes, including surveying, construction, mining, and environmental monitoring.
