Artificial Intelligence and legal issues

The purpose of the course is to help students understand the legal implications of designing and using AI systems. It provides an overview of the risks and legal protections that can be envisaged and gives an overview of the legislation and legal principles currently applicable on the subject.

Technologies and platforms for Artificial Intelligence

(4 hours)
This course covers the hardware technologies for machine and deep learning, from the units of an Internet-of-Things system to large-scale data centers. It also explores the families of machine and deep learning platforms for designing and developing smart applications and systems.

Machine Learning: an overview

(8 hours)
The course provides an overview of machine learning methods. Starting with a taxonomy of problems, the course presents algorithmic solutions, highlighting their successes and limitations. Concepts will be explained through examples and case studies.
