The design and implementation of digital health interventions aspect of this specialisation address topics to include design thinking, regulatory approaches, ethical considerations, technology adoption, implementation and strategy as applied to digital health. The evaluation component of this course focuses on data considerations in digital health, data management and the evaluation of digital health interventions with a focus on experimental and quasi-experimental design approaches to evaluation and the economic evaluation of digital health interventions.

Introduction to Digital health

This course introduces digital health, including key concepts and definitions. Topics include Learning Health Systems, Electronic Health Records, mobile apps, wearable tech, health info systems, telehealth, telemedicine, machine learning, AI, and big data. We'll assess these technologies for opportunities, challenges, and evidence of effectiveness in digital health, public health, and healthcare globally. The use of digital health for COVID-19 will serve as a case study.

Design and Implementation of Digital Health Interventions

This course covers design, regulatory approaches, ethics, technology adoption, implementation, and strategy for digital health. Topics include data regulations, technology adoption challenges, and implementation strategies.

Evaluation of Digital Health Interventions

This course covers data, evaluation methods, and the economic evaluation of digital health interventions. It focuses on data management, data visualization, and methods for evaluating digital health interventions. The key focus is on experimental and quasi-experimental design approaches that can be applied to evaluating digital health interventions and key considerations for the economic evaluation of digital health interventions.
