SVR says: Awesome course and explanations by Phillip. Good selection of examples to understand the concepts and why. I was able to share the knowledge with my team members and planning for the Microsoft Applied Skills Certification. Additionally I cleared PL 900 exam in December and Phillip courses are great.

Andrew says: A well-organized & concise course in Power Apps aimed at the Microsoft Applied Skills - Power Apps credential. This course was very short and focused on just the skills and objectives needed to take the MS applied skills credential. ... The course had PLENTY of practice at connecting to data and building a three-screen app, and the repetition was essential in order to get the concepts down. The included quizzes, and the final practice test, were carefully written and an effective way at reinforcing the formular language of Power Apps: Power Fx. ... Highly recommended.

In this 2½ hour course we’ll cover the skills that you need for the APL-7001 Microsoft Applied Skills credential for canvas Power Apps.

The tasks that you need to perform to get this skill are:

  • Create a canvas app from scratch, Connect a canvas app to a data source and Save and publish a canvas app. First, we’ll sign up for the free Developer Plan. Then, we’ll create a canvas app from a template, and then from scratch. We’ll then add data to our canvas Power App from a spreadsheet, before saving and publishing the app.

  • Configure a gallery. After that, we’ll add a gallery to our app. We’ll connect our data to our gallery, add fields into it, and format the results.

  • Configure a details screen. We’ll then add a second screen. We’ll connect that to the gallery, so we can see the details of a selected item. We’ll also add navigation between the two screens.

  • Configure an input screen. Finally, we’ll add an edit and new item screen. We’ll create icons to navigate between the screens, and add additional functionality, allowing you to sort and refresh the gallery, and delete and search for items.

We’ll go through several practical examples and a test on the Power fx formulas that we have used, so you can see how you can create your own canvas apps.

By the end of the course, you'll be much more confident about creating and managing canvas Power Apps and perhaps even take the official Microsoft assessment. That would look great on your CV or resume.
