A factor that is important for massage therapists

Oh yes, I just want to mention one more thing to any massage therapists that may be doing this course

Are you aware of the effects that your emotions have on your dogs?

Ok, its almost time to start but before we do...

So what should you do your massage on?

Massage for your dogs shouldn't be any different than for humans in an ideal situation

You also need to be aware of your own body positions just like any other massage style

Knowing the pace of your massage is important to create a sense of relaxation as well

This is also very important for both humans and dogs

Lets do a quick anatomy lesson so that you know the basic structures

If you want to play relaxation music I have a completely free YouTube channel dedicated to massage music that you can play

Lets go through the basic techniques of massage now

One last thing...

Here is my first dog from a friend of mine that doesn't know me at all

Here I show you how I go about the first massage session with Raina

Now the second session 2 days later, you will see the enormous difference already as she now knows me and also some changes that we made

Here we are just 5 days later and she gets a 20 minute massage session from me. What a change!

You can watch this and practice if you like as I show the opposite side massage with no talking this time, just beautiful relaxing music

Now I will show you how I massage Ollie for his first session and how he shows me where he would like more massage

Now I go to an animal shelter with a completely foreign environment working on two dogs for the first time with dogs all around barking.

Congratulations! You now know how to do basic dog massages!
