Good section on fundamental analysis (ratios) but would have like to have seen more details on technical analysis (charts).

It covers basics so that beginners can learn, it also covers the fundamental and technical analysis part which investors can use as per their choice.

Only technical analysis seems to not be veryhelpful.

So to conclude its a great course to know concepts but addition of some more technical analysis could have been more beneficial.

Barely brushes on technical analysis and daytrading.

I am visual I have bought thist course to learn charting/technical analysis.

Of course nothing is perfect, there was only an hour about charting/technical analysis in this course, but there was so much about long-term investments, fundamentals and trading that I simply don't care.

Now When I pick up a business newspaper and go through it doesn't baffle me as much and it makes sense what's going on in the Market :) I Really recommend taking this course as a foundation and choosing for yourself if you want to learn the 'Fundamentals' in detail or ' Technical analysis ' as your next step.

The only downside to me is that I wish the instructor delved further into the technical analysis aspect of trading.

My only wishes be that there be real-world examples, like for the technical analysis section.

Another thing is the instructor briefly goes into cryptocurrency in the technical analysis chapter with the candlestick charts, but does not introduce it or does not even mention it.

One might need complementary books or courses for more in-depth knowledge in fundamentals and technical analysis.

I am really looking forward to the rest of this course!!

I am very new to investing in general and to be frank I didn't even know what an ETF is or what mutual funds really are before I took this course.

The professor is more of a "safe" investor in that he leans more towards mutual funds, dividend paying stocks, value stocks and if that's not your investing style then you might get a bit annoyed.

I really enjoy the little demos where he goes into Vanguard and discusses some of the topics that he mentions in the lecture videos when searching for Stocks/Mutual funds etc.

Was able to understand my 401k investments during one of the classes on mutual funds.

I was expecting to know about questions like: What is stocks, equity,mutual funds, etfs etc..

This is a great entry level course to build your understanding of how stocks work, how to analyze them and understand how to build a portfolio that suits your long term goals.

After taking this course, I can now look at different stocks and analyze price ratios to determine * What stocks can fetch more money * What stocks are more stable and will provide long term dividends * What stocks are risky with potential short term gains It would be nice to see the course ending with how Options, and Futures are compared to Stocks.

But I had to reinforce myself to know that this is what I signed up for and wanted to become an educated investor for the long term.

All topics are mentioned from an emotional point of view, trading, gambling and even some technical analysis....very comprehensive if you want to invest in the long term but you will need some in depth knowledge if you want to start swing trading....highly recommended to understand all concepts as a whole.
