Splicing Machine types and testing of splices is covered to troubleshoot high losses and measure the loss. OTDR trace analysis is covered in detail for fiber events including attenuations, splices, connectors, gainers ...etc. OTDR operation is explained for acquisition, analysis and OTDR trace. Field testing of fiber optic cable is covered for pre installation (drum test), post installation and end to end test.
