This course will teach you the different types of fields in Salesforce and how to create and manage a data model. It will also teach you the different ways to import and export data in Salesforce.

The data model you create has implications on all aspects of the platform, so it’s essential that you give some thought to how to relate your objects to each other and how to manage the corresponding data. In this course, Salesforce Development: Data Modeling and Management, you’ll learn how to create and manage a data model in Salesforce. First, you’ll explore all the different types of fields in Salesforce including formula fields. Next, you’ll discover the different types of relationships that can exist between objects and how to pick one over the others. Finally, you’ll learn about the different tools to import and export data in Salesforce and the reasons to use each one. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills needed to pick the right types of fields and relationships for your data as well as manage that data in your organization.
