The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification or Associate's degree in a portable career field and occupation. The following Oregon State University programs have been certified as MyCAA-eligible. 

Assisted living is for the adult who needs help with everyday tasks, but desires to live somewhat independently and does not need full-time nursing care. This comprehensive program prepares you for a position as an Assisted Living Technician with an emphasis on providing care to clients living in retirement communities or senior housing complexes. 

The Clinical Medical Assisting program is designed to prepare you to function as professionals in multiple healthcare settings. This program prepares you to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspects of a medical office.

This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge base necessary to become a Clinical Nurse Aide and potentially begin the career path toward becoming a Registered Nurse. This course is designed to provide you with the complete healthcare knowledge base necessary to sit for the certification exam in their state.

The Dental Assisting Program prepares you for entry-level positions in Dental Assisting, one of the fastest growing healthcare professions. The purpose of this program is to familiarize you with all areas of administrative and clinical dental assisting focusing on the responsibilities required to function as an assistant in a dental practice. 

This Dialysis Technician Program provides you with the knowledge needed to perform as a dialysis technician. The number of dialysis technician jobs has the potential to increase by more than 35% by 2018 and today’s healthcare employers are seeking well-trained technicians.  

This EKG Technician Program prepares you to perform EKG’s in physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities and organizations. Similar to other healthcare professions, the demand for EKG technicians is expected to continue to grow approximately 25% by the year 2018.  

This Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management program prepares you to understand and use electronic records in a medical practice. Healthcare professionals with the ability to understand, update and maintain the electronic health record are in great demand.    

Designed to help you gain the software and business skills needed in the modern office, the Executive Assistant program prepares students to earn the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master certification. Topics include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and office procedures. Enrollment includes ebooks and a MOS exam voucher. 

This program reviews the implementation and management of electronic health information using common electronic data interchange systems and maintaining the medical, legal, accreditation and regulatory requirements of the electronic health record. 

This program prepares you to understand and use electronic records in a medical practice and is designed to fully prepare students to sit for and pass the CompTIA Network+ Certification exam. Further, this program provides you with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to shore up IT networks as applicable to health information technology. 

This comprehensive program prepares you for a position as a Home Health Aide, who provides assistance to elderly, disabled, ill, and mentally disabled persons who live in their own homes or in a residential care facility. 

The Medical Administrative Assistant with EHR program prepares you to earn the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) credentials. Topics studied include ezEMRx EHR software, Microsoft Office, healthcare documentation, and office procedures. Enrollment includes ebooks and exam vouchers.

The Medical Billing program helps you develop the knowledge and skills needed to work in healthcare reimbursement. Topics studied include medical terminology, documentation, patient billing, and special considerations such as ICD-10 and X12 5010, among others. Enrollment includes ebooks and a one-year membership to the American Medical Billing Association. 

This Medical Terminology course offers a clear and concise introduction to medical terminology with extensive opportunities for practice. The skills you obtain through this course will benefit them in any healthcare field they choose to pursue.

Approved by the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), the Medical Transcription program prepares you for medical transcription careers. Topics studied include medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation, among others. Enrollment includes ebooks, a transcription foot pedal, an AHDI membership, and a voucher to take the RHDS exam. 

This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge base necessary to become a Nursing Assistant Specialist and potentially begin the career path toward Registered Nurse. 

This comprehensive program prepares you for a position as a Personal Care Assistant, a fast growing field. Personal Care Assistants provide assistance to elderly, disabled, ill, and mentally disabled persons who live in their own homes or in a residential care facility. 

This program will prepare you to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Course content includes pharmacy terminology, pharmacy calculations, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining generic & brand names drugs. 

This program covers information on the medical assisting profession, interpersonal skills, medical ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, scheduling appointments, medical records management and management of practice finances. 

The Professional Medical Coding and Billing with Applied PCS program prepares you for the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) and Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certifications.
