A few key fundamentals of mine that a beginner must have in mind when learning how to "Load the Gun" and build an efficient back swing.
Lean how to swing from the Top to Finish. Get smooth flow for quality shots and get yourself ready to hit a golf ball.
Lean how to generate ball flight through fundemantals of striking by creating downward force. Getting "down" on the ball or impact.
Question: Why can't I just go swing at thousands of balls in till I'm good?
Answer: You can't learn a language in a day. Being able to read a word doesn't mean you know how to pronounce it correctly.
Use drills to break down parts of a swing to assist you to learn faster.
Drills are helpful tools to develop a player’s ability rapidly. They are designed to teach good techniques and brain function when holding a golf club or in any sport using an implement to strike. A marathon runner doesn’t sit on the couch for a month, and then run a marathon. They eat right, train every day, and build themselves towards the run. Runners run. Tennis players serve. A basketballer shoots. A footballer kicks. A cricketer throws. It’s the same with your golf swing. Every one of these players practices replicating a movement, in sections, or as a whole movement.
Learning exercises and drills need to replicate the full swing in parts then – they need to flow together. Once again remember Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your golf swing.
Enjoy your practice time have fun!
